If your home needs upgrades due to safety issues, inefficient cooling or heating systems, or aging structural issues, our home improvement loan may be a financing option. MCCI works in partnership with MassHousing to offer this loan to homeowners.

Eligible projects include but are not limited to additions, renovations, repairs, housing code violation concerns, energy efficiency, and modifications to accommodate physical disabilities.

Amount: Up to $50,000
Terms: 15 years with affordable rates
Only available to owner-occupied 1-4 family properties
Borrower must meet the MassHousing income eligibility limits.

How the Home Improvement Loan Process Works

Step 1

Choose a licensed and insured contractor. Get at least two quotes from two different contractors.

Step 2

Submit an online application with your contractor quote and supporting documents.

Step 3

Loan Decision is made: approved or denied.

Step 4

Once your loan closes, the contractor can begin the project.

Step 5

Funds are disbursed in 1-3 payment increments to the homeowner/contractor.

Step 6

Final payment is issued once the project is completed and all open permits and inspections are closed.
